In Debrecen as a result of deep-drilling, started in 1932, 69 °C warm thermal water gushed forth from as deep as 1400 metres.

Medicinal content of the water:

alkali chloride hydrogen carbonate medicinal water with iodine, bromide and sodium chloride also containing significant amounts of calcium, magnesium and metaboric acid
