The medicinal water which
rushes up from the depth of 1282 m, because of its temperature of 56°C
belongs to the group of thermal waters, but because of the salts
dissolved into it, it belongs to the group of alkaline calcareous,
hydro-carbonic waters. With its content of free carbonic acid above
1000mg, it also meets the criteria internationally established for
carbonic acid springs.
Thanks to its high content of calcium,
magnesium, hydro carbonate, carbon-dioxide and iron, it can be used
both for drinking and bath therapy.
According to the examinations of its
curative power, a high degree of improvement has been achieved both on
catarrhal inflammations and on inflammatory diseases of the digestive
tract. The length of the drinking therapy is 2-3 weeks. It has also
been effectively used to prevent rumours in the stomach and small
intestines, catarrh of stomach and intestines, and also to prevent the
return of complaints following the recovery from gall-bladder
diseases.
In case of locomotor diseases, thermal water can successfully be used
to
ease the complaints of
sinews, muscles, connective tissues, vertebrae and also of degenerative
alternation of joints. At the follow-up medical treatments after
accidents it can be completed with physiotherapy and remedial
exercises, and the period of rehabilitation can considerably be
shortened. The suitably adjusted temperature of the water loads the
circulatory system only slightly. The diseased can move in the water
without restriction and they can do exercises which couldn't be
achieved by them under other circumstances.
In case of rheumatic complaints the cure,
in addition to the medicinal
water, is completed by physiotherapeutic treatments (massage,
electro-mechanic therapy, mud pack, galvanic bath and weight bath).
The bath treatment, naturally under medicinal supervision, was
successfully applied to older people with heart, circulatory or other
disease
